The Rotaract Club of Bwebajja’s Youth Skills Fest at Motiv Kampala drew more than 700 ambitious participants for a day of immersive, hands-on training in technology, creative arts, and entrepreneurship. Industry experts guided attendees through app prototyping, coding workshops, and digital design demonstrations, while local artists showcased visual storytelling techniques that brought graphic design and 3D modeling to life.
In a dedicated entrepreneurial lounge, young innovators pitched business ideas to a panel of mentors, refining lean business plans and learning to identify market opportunities.
The event underscored the importance of media collaboration, with Nation Media Group and NTV broadcasting live segments that highlighted student achievements and festival highlights.
Partner organizations which included leading tech hubs, NGOs, and educational institutions joined forces to provide resource materials, follow-up opportunities, and mentorship pathways.
By the festival’s close, participants left not only with newfound technical skills and creative inspiration but also with concrete connections to support their ambitions.
