The Rotaract Club of Bwebajja hosted “PeacePulse,” an interactive peace-building initiative at Kitala Secondary School that engaged students in conflict-prevention training and leadership development.
More than 150 students participated in guided dialogue sessions exploring the root causes of interpersonal and community conflict, sharing personal experiences, and learning de‐escalation techniques.
Interactive skits dramatized real-world disputes, with audience members pausing performances to propose peaceful resolutions and practice active listening strategies.
The day culminated in the installation ceremony of the new Interact Club President, symbolizing a renewed commitment to unity and peer mentorship. Teachers reported a marked increase in collaborative behavior and expressed enthusiasm for incorporating peace-education modules into the broader curriculum.
By equipping young leaders with practical conflict-management tools and fostering a culture of empathy, PeacePulse exemplified the power of youth-driven dialogue to sow lasting harmony within schools and beyond.
